Despite the recession, the graphic design services sector was able to remain economically stable in the past few years. As a result, this industry is expected to experience a great deal of growth in the coming years, new research suggests.
A new report from Global Industry Analysts indicates that the global market for graphic design services is expected to reach $35.2 billion within the next five years.
The researchers suggest that smaller firms will see the greatest growth, as many of these companies can more easily respond to market requirements, adopt new trends and offer specialized services for each of their clients. In fact, small businesses currently account for 80 percent of overall revenues in this sector, according to analysts.
Researchers expect that global events such as the 2010 South African Soccer World Cup and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London will contribute to a great deal of expanded business in this field. Firms that are expected to maintain their status as key players in the field include Continental Graphics Corporation, Creative Associates, Intel Corporation, Quad/Graphic., Schawk, Spire Express, T-Square Express, Inc., and World Color Press.
