While the runways of Paris and store-fronts of New York are dominated by established fashion titans, a new, younger - much younger - generation of designers is trying to push onto the scene.

Billed as "the youngest fashion designer in the country," Cecilia Cassini started her designing career at a early age, and now, at age 10, she has begun selling her creations online and at a fashion store in Santa Monica.

The Los Angeles Times recently reported that she is already being sponsored by fabric suppliers and sewing machine companies, and is being managed by experienced Hollywood agents.

Cassini told the news source that she is inspired to create clothing from many of the everyday objects that she sees in her life.

"At New York Fashion Week, what really inspired me was all the taxi cabs," she said.

Her design skills are paying off, as the Los Angeles Daily News recently reported that her designs have been worn by Hollywood celebrities like Denise Richards and Candace Cameron Bure.
