Capella Kincheloe has set up her own interior design firm in Atlanta. She worked for four years with Los Angeles designer and decorator Michael Smith, whose client list includes the Obama family and supermodel Cindy Crawford.
Capella Kincheloe Interior Design will focus on residential remodeling, interior decoration and new home design. The company's IDESIGN web feature lets clients work with the designer on a room-by-room basis, via e-mail and the Internet, enabling the firm to reach clients worldwide.
Kincheloe takes into account any budget restraints the client may have, she explains, while offering them creative design and remodelling advice. She aims for a result that will be tailored to the client and their home, she adds.
Kincheloe graduated from the University of Southern California. She also writes a blog - A Curated Lifestyle - where she describes herself as a "residential interior designer, blogger, IDESIGN impresario, home cook and all around lifestyle archaeologist."
With residential property still facing a slow market, many homeowners are staying put and remodeling. According to Home magazine, a total of 46 percent of Americans say they plan to redecorate or remodel in the next five years.
