HGTV Design Star returns June 13

When HGTV Design Star begins its fifth season on next month, a total of 12 finalists will be asked to contribute design ideas to some of New York City's best known buildings and neighborhoods. The contestants will include interior designers, stylists, architects and contractors. Each will be contributing design ideas to various Manhattan locations including some New York City fire houses.
The judges will include HGTV designers Genevieve Gorder, Candice Olson and Vern Yip. They will visit each location and offer their evaluations of the contestants design work. The finalists will have access to construction crews who will help with the building and installation of their projects.
HGTV Design Star will air on Sundays for 11 weeks. Viewers can follow-up on each week's show by going to the HGTV website. Visitors can take advantage of interactive features and exclusive content, including design tips and reactions from the judges. HGTV is watched by an estimated 98 million U.S. households, and the website averages four million visitors each month.
