DreamWorks Animation announces the cast of Kung Fu Panda sequel

On the heels of the release of the final installment of the Shrek series, executives from animation giant DreamWorks have announced the addition of new cast members to the latest chapter in the Kung Fu Panda collection.
Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and James Hong will all return to lend their voices for Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. In addition, Gary Oldman, Michelle Yeoh, Jean Claude Van Damme and Victor Garber have signed on for the sequel.
Oldman will play the role of Lord Shen, a villainous peacock that will be introduced in the new film. Yeoh will serve as The Soothsayer, a goat, while Van Damme and Garber will bring the Master Croc and Master Thundering Rhino to life, respectively.
Melissa Cobb, producer of both Kung Fu Panda films, said that the new cast members will play "a critical role in [the main character's] quest and his ultimate triumph over the forces of evil."
The film is slated for release in theaters on May 27 of next year.
