The Home Builder's Association's Custom Home of the Year in 2009 - a 5,000 square-foot home located on 10 acres in Kerr Gulch Highlands, Colorado - is on the market for approximately $2.9 million.
Located in the Front Range section of Colorado, the home was designed and built by Brian and Aaron Ojala with the Entasis Group. The designers emphasized natural materials such as wood, stone, glass and metal, to create the home's unique architectural elements.
The home itself is located at the very top of the property, integrated into the trees and surrounding land. The site allows maximum sun exposure and mountain views, while still retaining a feeling of seclusion and privacy. The interior design features wide-plank walnut floors, cedar timbers, steel beams, slate and glass. The exterior design emphasizes native grasses, Colorado pines and boulders.
The four-bedroom, five-bath home includes a 20-foot cantilevered sky deck that extends out from the living room area. The state-of-the-art kitchen features stainless steel appliances, walk-in pantry, breakfast room and a large island.
