The Inchbald School of Design recently announced that it will offer two online graduate degree programs that are validated by the University of Wales. The online postgraduate programs in architectural interior design and garden design are the first of their kind to be validated by a university.

The architectural design degree consists of a three-year, part-time program designed for graduates who wish to pursue careers as professional designer. Students can develop design skills through intensive study and practical projects, which are enhanced by detailed investigations of the way people experience and perceive the spaces they occupy.

The garden design program is also aimed at career-orientated professionals and is part-time over three years. The coursework addresses the role of a garden designer, design implementation, as well as plant knowledge and planting design. By the end of the course, students can have the knowledge and skills to become a professional garden designer.

"The Inchbald School of Design has long been at the forefront of design education," said Jacqueline Duncan, founder and principal of the school. "I am delighted that these two online courses have been validated by the University of Wales, not only marking our 50th Anniversary year but also celebrating the school's progressive approach to education."
