When an architect or an architectural firm makes notable strides in the industry, it is often recognized and admired by other professionals in the field. This week, EDSA was honored for its work by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) with the Landscape Architecture Firm Award.
Each year, it is given to a firm or individual that has shown an extended period of excellence in the field or architecture. The ASLA also decides who will receive the honor based on how the contenders have impacted the industry. EDSA recently celebrated its 50th anniversary in business. The company, which has projects in more than 90 different countries, was humbled when they received the news.
"Our success is rooted in the fact that we have built more than just a business," said Joe Lalli, president and chief executive of EDSA. "It's a group of individuals with a collective passion for advocacy of the profession. We're very pleased that our efforts have been honored with such a prestigious award from ASLA."
Architecture jobs are expected to increase by 16 percent over the next eight years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
