When an architecture firm makes an impact on the industry, it may be recognized for its efforts in the field. This week, Architecture, Inc. won three awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) after 20 years of being in business.
The AIA awards were for Firm of the Year and Unbuilt Merit in Architecture for their Franklin Shops project. Project manager Chris Ressler also won Associate of the Year with the company. Architecture, Inc. was recognized as one of the most successful firms in the Southwest Florida chapter.
"We are incredibly humbled and appreciative for the AIA awards we received this year," said Ted Sottong, vice president and partner of Architecture, Inc. "Our team is filled with outstanding professionals who are committed to community involvement, outstanding design and sustainability; we are truly honored."
Architecture, Inc. specializes in a number of different projects, ranging from urban design to interior design. The company, which is located in Fort Myers, Florida, focuses on expanding on the overall architectural vision of their clients.
Architect jobs are projected to grow by 16 percent over the next eight years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
