Individuals who are interested in architecture and industrial design may be interested in a new certification that offer a leg up when applying to jobs or school design programs. Autodesk, a 3D design company that was established in 2006, recently released its new test that titles a person an Autodesk Certified User.
The test, which is administered through Ceriport, contains a series of questions pertaining to the type of design the individual is interested in.
"Our exams ensure students can effectively use these tools beyond memorization, and earning these user-level certifications while still in school provides evidence of competency and proficiency as students complete college applications and resumes," said Certiport CEO, Ray Kelly.
There are study packets on the website, which are available for free for anyone who has signed up for the certification. There are also practice tests administered at the various testing centers. Students are also able to search for internships, showcase their work and discuss topics with other students.
Design teachers are able to access the Autodesk materials, which is through the Autodesk Education Community.
