Xara, a graphic design computer program, has been updated to a new version with a variety of additional features, according to International Business Times.
The program offers updates for two of its products, the Xara Designer Pro 7 and the Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 7. Both programs are now able to cut, copy and paste whole pages. The Design Pro also gives its users the ability to expand web-based products and more professional tools. The company has already released its Web Designer Premium 7 program, according to the news source.
For the designers who are not sure about upgrading, both programs are available for a free trial, the media outlet reports.
It is important for prospective graphic designers to be knowledgeable in all of the up-to-date technology and services in order to become a successful professional. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in this field is expected to rise by 13 percent between 2008 an 2018, and knowing a number of design programs may give an individual a leg up.
