It was recently announced that singer and fashion designer Jessica Simpson will be mentoring the up-and-coming designers who will on the new show Fashion Star, which will air this fall, according to New York Magazine.
The show, which will be hosted by model Elle Macpherson, seems to be like the popular show Project Runway. However, producers confirm that the show will be nothing like the other as it will be more focused on clothes that can be mass produced, according to the news source.
"We're not looking for someone to create a couture dress for the Oscars," Macpherson said. "We want someone who can design lingerie, swimwear, denim - accessible things that regular people wear."
Simpson will not be a judge on the show because the way that the winners are chosen is from online viewers who are able to purchase the clothing, the media outlet reports.
According to CBS News, Simpson has recently teamed up with her sister Ashlee Simpson in order to create a fashion line aimed toward the young teenagers. The collection is expected to hit stores just in time for back-to-school shopping.
