Bold colors bring interior design to life

When deciding what colors to use in designing a new space or room, sometimes it may be wise to go bold, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
It is also recommended to blend bold colors together in unexpected ways in a space. Cortney Novogratz of HGTV explained to the news source that bringing in a vibrant hue to a space that is usually overlooked can really make it pop. For example, she painted a beach house's staircase white with blue and pink stripes.
"If you really want chocolate brown with pale blue, which has been done to death, then add something like celery green," Brian Patrick Flynn, HGTV blogger, told the news source. "It's fresh and you've made it your own."
Individuals who are looking to land a job in interior design after they graduate from their design programs may be able to do so. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in this field is expected to increase by 19 percent between 2008 and 2018.
