High Point Market, a leader in the home furnishings industry, recently announced the judges for this year's Showroom Design Competition, which is held October 22 to 27.
The judges, Margaret Russell, David Easton, and Tracy Bulla - all well-known within the industry - will decide on the Best of Market Award. The public will be able to vote on the People's Choice Award.
"We are very pleased to have such a distinguished group of judges for this year’s competition," said Cheminne Taylor-Smith, vice president of marketing for the company. "Designers and retailers know that the High Point Market is the place where great ideas begin - and that it’s a fantastic showcase for fresh new merchandising inspirations. By highlighting and honoring our exhibitors in this competition, we hope to provide retailers with ideas and techniques that they can use throughout the year."
Individuals who are interested in interior design may want to know what the job outlook will be like once they graduate from their design programs. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in this field is expected to increase by 19 percent between 2008 and 2018.
