Even though it may be tough for some to image what they will be wearing come spring, especially since many are adjusting to the thought of jackets again - but it's not too early for fashion designers. The upcoming hot colors of the spring season were recently announced by the Pantone Color Institute, which they established from the collections of designers prior to New York Fashion Week, according to the Oregonian.

"Consumers look to spring for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of a brighter day," Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone, told the news source. "They have learned how color can help them alter a mood, while providing the vitality and enthusiasm that enables them to experiment with new looks and color combinations."

Some of those must-have colors include deep rosy-red, tactile blue-green, maritime blue and a distinct purple, the media outlet reports.

Individuals who are interested in becoming fashion designers may want to know what they will be earning as a professional. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for individuals in this field was approximately $61,000 in 2008.
