One of the degrees to aid in becoming a professional photographer is the Associate of Applied Science Degree.
After graduating from the Professional Photography Program, you should have the required knowledge for a career in one of the various photography fields. The curriculum for this program focuses it's teachings on the proper development of the visual and technical skills required for success.
The Professional Photography curriculum emphasizes on digital capture as well as film based capture in the training courses leading to digital photographic professions. Initially a student will receive basic training in digital SLR, lenses, natural-available lighting, and aesthetics before moving on to the studio to pursue further education. Students further enhance their skills by exploring the use of the large format view camera for portrait photography and commercial illustrations, and by learning how to effectively use various accessories such as strobe lighting.
Students can get specialized instruction in elective courses offered in an array of photographic areas.
