Barry University's undergraduate photography program is intended to engross you in the field of photography. We give an exclusive degree in Photography that will help in giving greater depth of knowledge and experience. So many schools provide an Art degree with supplemental photography courses.
You can choose between focusing solely on photography, or you can add more diversified education in other mediums including other art courses. You have a choice between the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and the Bachelor of Arts degree. Your academic advisor will help you in the choice of the elective courses that will prepare you to meet your personal and professional goals.
With the advent of digital photography, many universities are now moving away from teaching about traditional film processing to focus purely on this new technology. While the traditions of film and the darkroom are rooted in Barry's past, every effort is made to keep up with the latest digital technology. We provide you with ample opportunities to combine vintage techniques and cutting-edge digital technologies to create unique results. Since both are complimentary components of photography, we believe that there is no need for us to choose one over the other. You can focus on whichever you deem fit rather that be one or both.
Photography majors can access facilities seven days of the week. Classes are kept at a small size to make sure you get individualized instruction. Your opportunities will only be limited by your own level of motivation.
