Lively Technical Center
CPT can provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a professional photographer. Upon completion of this program, you will acquire enough technical skills in photography to open your own personal studio or to work in a photography setting.
As a student, you will learn the basics of photography, camera functions and skills like, f/stops, shutter speed, depth of field, composition rules, portraiture, posing, studio lighting, Photoshop CS2 on Apple/Macintosh systems, and other business skills. On average, students who attend full-time, which are a total of 1650 hours, usually complete the program in 1-1.5 years. Depending on the amount of hours taken at one time, most part-time students complete the course with a 2-3 year time frame.
NOTE: All students are required to have a digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera with manual setting capabilities.
