McFatter Technical Center
Acquire competency in digital and film camera use, exposure control and lighting techniques. Commercial Photography is a challenging program that will prepare students for their careers in commercial photography by using a hands-on approach to their learning.
Program assignments start with elementary photo skills, and then build towards completing a portfolio and making preparations for an on-the-field job. Students develop photography in the use of cameras of all formats, exposures, controls, compositional elements of design, lighting techniques, film processing, and media presentations through the use of books, videos and demonstrations about commercial photography.
Because the Commercial Photography students undergo all the needed proficiency requirements, they have learned to produce portrait, commercial and industrial photographs.
Students usually complete all of the competency-based requirements within 12 to 16 months. Before completing the program, one must meet the following prerequisite requirements:
- Complete orientation
