Contemporary culture is expressed through photography. Exploring your comment on culture is a large focus of the photography program at MECA.

Discussion is only one part of the program that we offer. Students begin with the usage of film and the making of black and white prints in a traditional darkroom. Our instructors teach courses covering the professional aspects of digital, color, large-format and lighting aspects, drawing on their experience in everything from landscape photography to digital art or video. The photographer's intent and the context of the photographs is the focus of all courses.
