Rasmussen College was founded on September 1, 1900 in St. Paul Minnesota by Mr. Walter Rasmussen. Back then it was known as the Rasmussen Practical School of Business and prepared students to work within the expanding business sector in Minnesota.
Today Rasmussen College has campus locations in five states and online. The college currently serves 12,000 students from a wide variety of ethnic, family, and occupational backgrounds. Rasmussen offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in a variety of fields.
The School of Technology and Design within Rasmussen College offers four areas of interest including multimedia technologies, information technology, Internet marketing, and software systems design. The multimedia technologies program offers an associate's and bachelor's degree in digital design and animation, web design, and game production. The digital design degrees are designed for graduates to receive employment as game designers, graphic designers, TV and film animators, and much more.
The Internet marketing degree will give you the skills and knowledge to become employed in the Internet marketing industry as a search engine specialist, e-commerce marketer, and Internet business developer. The program is hands-on and highly interactive. Courses are taught through a variety of mediums such as computer based learning, lectures, and group work.
The information technology degrees are divided into six different disciplines such as database administration, network security, web programming, and IP telephony.
