West Virginia is an irregular oval shaped state with a landscape full of rivers. Hills, and over all, mountains that form a picturesque scenery. The entire state is covered by the Appalachian Mountains, and this gave its nickname of "Mountain State". West Virginia has mineral deposits and natural resources, however its economy is based on industry, especially the chemical one.
