Graphic + Interactive Design The Graphic and Interactive Design program at Foothill College offers training for careers in the exciting, dynamic fields of graphic design, design for the WWW, multimedia, illustration, and digital publishing. The GID program seeks to develop basic and advanced skills in the important traditional processes of layout, design, and drawing while cultivating proficiencies in the leading edge digital graphics technologies. A balance of traditional, computer and general education courses produces a well-rounded, highly trained graduate with sufficient expertise to be employable in an ever-expanding job market. Internships, student aid positions and on-the-job training opportunities are available to qualified students who are in enrolled in the program. GID courses are offered on campus and online to accommodate more learners by providing flexible access to the program. Full- or part-time students can complete the AA degree in preparation for professional practice or to transfer to advanced studies at the university level. Career preparation certificates and occupational skills certificates are another option for students preparing to enter the profession.
