WEB DESIGN PROGRAM/ HTML TRAINING The purpose of the Web Design Course is to prepare students for employment as Assistant Web Designers, Web Designers, Senior Web Designers, HTML coder, Web Graphic Designer, and Web Producer or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in any of these occupations. The Web Design Course offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in the Web Design Services and focuses on skills of the web and Internet industry, including HTML. After successfully completing this program, the Web Design and HTML training student will be able to: Perform advanced web design techniques Demonstrate knowledge of operating systems Navigate the Internet and the World Wide Web Create, edit and test HTML tags Design web pages using a scripting language Use graphic software (Adobe Photoshop and Flash) Students in the Web Design Course will create graphics, animation and video for web site use and develop dynamic multimedia web sites (using Dreamweaver and Homesite). Students will apply Web site management and marketing techniques. Software currently used includes Macromedia: Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, and Homesite. Also Adobe: Photoshop, ImageReady, and Acrobat. Completion Time: The typical length of this Web Design Course for the average achieving student is 1050 hours.
