Web Design Ready to work the web? If you have been dreaming about a career in web graphics, web animation or designing high-impact, interactive websites, then L&C's Web Design associate's degree program can get you off to a great start. It combines the fundamentals of computing, digital video & audio, graphics, layout, interactivity and web technology as well as general education courses to strengthen your critical thinking skills. You'll receive hands-on experience in our cross-platform computer labs incorporating industry-current software with concept and design elements. Graduates with an AAS degree in Web Design have the option to transfer to some four-year bachelor's degree programs. A 2+2 program with Franklin University assures a smooth transition from L&C to Franklin's four-year web design program. The 30 and Out AAS degree program option applies to anyone who has already earned an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. You may earn an AAS in Web Design by completing 30 semester hours of approved courses. L&C's certificate program in basic web design trains you to create and manipulate digital images using the Adobe Photoshop program, use concepts to develop websites, and learn HTML code and techniques for optimizing Internet display. L&C's advanced Certificate of Completion in web programming is targeted to those with programming experience who want to upgrade and develop additional expertise. Careers in web design include webmaster, web developer, web designer, graphic designer, web architect, HTML or Flash programmer, media programmer, web marketing analyst, content developer, and audio visual specialist.
