This two-year Web Development curriculum is offered to prepare students for employment in the field of web design and development. In recent years businesses world wide have continued to offer more products and services via the Internet. Individuals completing this program will position themselves nicely to acquire entry level employment with a company who needs to maintain and update their web site. Students admitted into this program will be introduced to the Internet as a tool for communications and commerce. They will learn the HTML language used to develop web pages and sites. Students will acquire the programming knowledge necessary to build multi-tier applications that connect content with data to produce dynamically driven web sites. They will learn to enhance those sites though the use of image and multimedia elements. The student will be presented with both Open Source and proprietary web technologies as well as web server administration to broaden their scope and increase employment potential. Certificate: This certificate program is designed to help students learn the basic skills of the Internet and World Wide Web, and gain professional skills needed to meet today's growing demand for Internet Web page developers.
